Angela Akins Garcia had been unnoticed for a considerable time before her marriage with Sergio Garcia brought her into fame. Because of this it is difficult to find any information about the life of Angela Akins Garcia prior to her wedding. It is known by the media that she was a 1985 infant, but the year and the month she was born are unknown. Angela Akins Gracia developed a interest in sports when she was a kid and decided to take up golf. Then, she took several lessons in how to play golf, learning the techniques needed to make an effective and calm swing. Through the years she increased her knowledge. When she was a high school student she was a winner of 8 tournaments. Garcia was head coach of the Mable Falls High School golf team in 2003 and in 2006, guided the team to a 3rd-place finishing in the regional championship. It is no doubt that the lady is quite adept at playing the game. She has won over 17 medals to her name on the national level and is a member of The Women's Golf Association of Texas. Garcia began her studies with Texas Christain University, where she spent two years studying before switching to University of Texas. While at the university she was able to compete on a greater size and develop her abilities as time went by. Angela Akin Garcia, despite her happiness and fulfillment as a professional golfer, had no intention about pursuing a career in the field. She instead opted to study the field of journalism. Her first position came up following her graduation as an Fox Sports Southwest Reporter.
